    Does this bombilla suit every cut of mate?
    Yes. All our bombillas share the same filtering power, designed to hold back large leaves and finer cuts alike. You can switch yerba without switching bombilla.     How do I look after my bombilla?
    Rinse it with hot water after every use — that is the one habit that matters. Once a month, treat it to a deep clean with food-grade baking soda, then bring back its shine with a silver polishing stone. Every step is detailed in our bombilla care guide.
    Does the bombilla get too hot on the lips?
    No, and that is one of the great advantages of alpaca: this metal conducts very little heat. Where a steel bombilla can become scalding, alpaca stays mild, even with water at 80 °C.
    Is this bombilla handmade?
    Yes. Our bombillas are made by hand by Cristian, our craftsman in Uruguay. Every piece is therefore slightly different: the finish, the chasing and the proportions all carry the mark of the maker's hand. Your bombilla is one of a kind.
    Does this bombilla come with a warranty?
    Yes, it carries a lifetime warranty. A rinse after each use and a monthly clean are all it takes to keep it like new.
    How long is this bombilla?
    It measures 19 cm, a length designed for traditional gourds: the filter end reaches right down into the yerba while the mouthpiece sits comfortably at lip height.
    What should I do if my bombilla clogs up?
    A bombilla that draws poorly can be cleared by rinsing it under very hot water, filter end up, to flush out the particles lodged in the perforations. If it is still slow, a soak in food-grade baking soda will dissolve the deposits. The step-by-step is in our bombilla care guide.
