This mate bombilla is made entirely of silversmith-grade alpaca, an alpaca that is denser and purer than ordinary alpaca and does not oxidise. It is shaped by hand.

The stem
The stem is hand-chiseled with a leaf motif. An alpaca wire is twisted around it in a spiral, then fixed onto the stem. The knot separating the stem from the spout is chiseled with a floral motif.

The filter
The filter is also made of alpaca. It perfectly filters all cuts of mate, from large leaves to fine cuts.

Use and care
Alpaca conducts very little heat: the spout stays lukewarm, even with water at 80 °C. Rinse the bombilla with hot water after each mate; once a month, clean it with baking soda and polish it with a silver stone (care guide). Cared for in this way, it is guaranteed for life.

Yes. All our bombillas have the same filtering power, designed to hold back large leaves as well as finer cuts: you can change yerba without changing bombilla.
