A GRAND CRU TERROIR

Our mate is grown in open nature and thrives in the wild, in the heart of biodiversity, following the agroforestry model.

Organic, our leaves are harvested at maturity to reach exceptional quality and balance of taste.

From the terroir of São Mateus do Sul, in southern Paraná, this mate is a Grand Cru thanks to its terroir and the denser shade provided by the imposing Araucaria trees.

As the leaves grow more slowly, the flavors of the yerba mate concentrate further, acquiring a richer, fruitier, more complex taste.

What is in the 3-Mate Discovery Kit?

The kit brings together a jujube wood gourd of 120 to 150 ml, a classic bombilla, and three 250 g eco-refills — Green Mate, 24-month aged and Roasted, all organic and Grand Cru, making 750 g in total.

Why three different mates?

So you can compare three profiles rather than picking one blind: the green, soft and grassy; the 24-month aged, rounder and deeper; the roasted, with toasted, caramelised notes. It is the most direct way to find the one that suits you.

Does the wooden gourd in this kit need curing?

No, this wooden gourd does not need curing.

How do I make my first mate with this kit?

Fill the gourd two thirds full with leaves — allow 25 to 30 g per 200 ml — tilt it to one side, slide the bombilla into the hollow, then pour water at 70–80 °C, never boiling. The whole ritual, step by step, is in our guide to the traditional preparation of mate.

How do I look after the kit day to day?

A rinse with hot water after each session is enough. For the bombilla, plan a monthly clean with food-grade baking soda. See our bombilla care guide.

Not happy, won't buy here again.

I bought a Mate, and after 10 days, I still haven't received it. I had to write and get help, and it's not like I'm on the other side of the world, I'm in Germany. This is the 21st century, and shipping should be easier and faster. They responded that it's not their fault, it's the carrier. Well, maybe it is time to find a better one. Not happy.

We’re very sorry that your order has not yet arrived. As mentioned in our previous message, we immediately opened an investigation with the carrier following your request to help resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Thanks to this investigation, we received an update from the carrier today confirming that your parcel is continuing its journey and is now on its way to your selected pickup point. According to the latest tracking information, it should be available for collection within the next 1 to 2 days.

Unfortunately, this delay is completely outside of our control. While we would love to resolve this immediately, we are also dependent on the carrier’s investigation process and delivery timelines. If the parcel were to be officially declared lost, we would of course send you a replacement right away.
