THE ORIGIN
In 2017, Paul discovered yerba mate - or rather tereré - in one of South America's least known and least visited countries: Paraguay.
“It was impossible to miss this drink. Everyone drinks it, and shares it! Whether at work, on the bus or at home, there will always be someone to share their mate with you.”
A few months later, he returned to France with his gourd, his bombilla and his yerba, and paid a visit to his friend, Alexis.
Taken aback by the South American drink, Alexis fell in love with it right away!
He also discovered that mate has many health benefits, with an extraordinary stimulating effect.

OUR SELECTION
It all began in 2018.
As mate enthusiasts, we set out to share this drink by rigorously selecting an exceptional organic yerba mate.
Our values and convictions drive us every day to promote and build a viable model based on respect for everyone involved.
To do this, we took the time to select a grower who shares our values.
To protect the natural habitat, our grower refrains from using chemicals such as synthetic fertilizers, insecticides or herbicides.
On top of organic certification, our grower treats their workers with respect and is FairTrade certified
This level of standards is essential to be able to offer a quality mate, grown in optimal conditions.
INNOVATIVE FARMING
In recent years, many public-health campaigns have called into question certain farming techniques harmful to people and the environment.
Keen to pass on a viable heritage to future generations, our partner growers decided in 1980 to practice 100% organic, fair-trade agroforestry farming.
Our yerba mate grows within the Curitiba forest itself. Growing in the heart of biodiversity lets the mate plant flourish and reveal exceptional leaf quality. Harvesting takes place every two years to encourage better plant development and preserve the natural balance.
Our support for organic farming is a point on which we are uncompromising. By automatically excluding any non-organic crop from our purchases, we hope to raise growers' awareness and motivate them to adopt healthy farming.
All our products come from natural, organic farming.
OUR FAIR-TRADE COMMITMENT
We are very proud of the social and solidarity commitment of our partner growers, who have been actively involved in fair trade since 2006.
Several concrete actions have come to life, such as buying school supplies or building new roads. These commitments are also reflected in quality of life at work, fair pay and employee profit-sharing.
Our conviction in pursuing socially responsible actions is fundamental to building a viable, sustainable model in sometimes forgotten regions. We aim to intensify our efforts by developing new projects.
The goal is to improve access to schooling while modernizing working methods, to make family farms stronger alongside the various cooperatives.
We are uncompromising when it comes to workers' well-being.
