Simply add your mate or tea leaves, then flip the infuser for the recommended brewing time; once it's up, the leaves are no longer in contact with the water, preventing any over-brewing.

How does the Tempera® insulated infuser work?
Its integrated one-piece 10 g filter — a single piece of 304 stainless steel — holds back the leaves while you drink straight from the mouth of the bottle. No bombilla, no gourd, no tea bag: add the leaves, add hot water, and it is ready.
How does it differ from the mate thermos?
The infuser brews and is drunk straight from the bottle: mate the way you would drink a tea, 420 ml at a time. The 2-in-1 thermos, on the other hand, carries 1 litre of hot water and its cap turns into a gourd, for the traditional ritual. How long does it hold temperature?
It keeps drinks hot for 8 hours, cool for 12 hours and ice-cold for 24 hours, thanks to its double wall: 316 stainless steel inside, 304 outside.
Can I brew anything other than mate in it?
Yes: tea, herbal infusions, fruit infusions — the filter works with any loose leaf or plant. See our 5 ways to prepare mate.
How many leaves, and at what temperature?
Allow 5 to 10 g of leaves per 420 ml depending on how strong you like it, with water at 70–80 °C, never boiling. For the fruit blends, let it steep for 10 minutes: the freeze-dried fruit needs to rehydrate before it releases its aromas.
Can I use it for iced mate?
Yes, and it is one of the things it does best: it holds ice-cold for 24 hours. Brew, let it cool, add ice cubes — and you have a tereré to go that stays cold all day.
How do I look after it?

Which colours are available?
The infuser comes in black and cream, at the same price. Personalised engraving can be added for 10 €.
Do I need a bombilla with this infuser?
No. The built-in filter takes the place of the bombilla: it holds the leaves at the bottom and you drink straight from the mouth of the bottle. That is what makes it the simplest way to take your mate with you.
