Mate is considered a "superfood".

This infusion, consumed for thousands of years, is appreciated for its health benefits:

  • Gentle and natural energy : Unlike coffee, the caffeine in mate is released gradually, providing sustained stimulation without nervousness or tremors.
  • Mental and physical clarity : Mateine stimulates both body and mind, to keep you focused, active and serene at the same time.
  • Rich in antioxidants : Mate is rich in antioxidants, about twice as much as green tea!
  • Muscle recovery and fat burning : Popular with athletes, mate helps with muscle recovery and naturally supports metabolism.

A UNIQUE TERROIR

At an altitude of 900 meters, our mate grows in the heart of the biodiversity of the Santa Catarina region, in the great valley of the Iguaçu River, in Brazil.

The terroir , as with wine, has a crucial influence on thefinal flavor of yerba mate. The minerals contained in the soil will impart varying degrees of bitterness, length on the palate, or astringency to the final infusion.

This region has the distinction of producing a high-quality, particularly balanced mate with vegetal and floral notes and moderate bitterness .

TRADITIONAL ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

For over 100 years , our partner has been keeping their passion and expertise alive by cultivating a native yerba , renowned for its original taste and famous for its sweetness.

The leaves of this organic yerba mate are harvested at maturity every 12 months. After harvesting, the mate dries naturally (without smoke) before being enjoyed fresh, or undergoing an additional aging or roasting stage.
