We made the decision to use exclusively mate tea bags made from plant-based materials.

Both ecological and innovative, these bags are made from corn starch, a resistant, durable material with the added advantage of diffusing the aromas perfectly.

With no plastic, paper or staples, you can now drink mate in plastic-free tea bags.

What's more, they are made and packed in France!

A GRAND CRU TERROIR

Grown using agroforestry, a method that lets the plant draw its nutrients from the rich, diverse biodiversity of southern Brazil.

From the terroir of São Mateus do Sul, in southern Paraná, this mate is a grand cru thanks to its terroir and the denser shade provided by the imposing Araucaria trees. Harvesting methods and the care given to the plant are also decisive factors in achieving a grand cru mate!.

As the leaves grow more slowly, the flavors of the yerba mate concentrate further, acquiring a richer, fruitier, more complex taste.

RESPONSIBLE FARMING

On top of being a grand cru, our mate is grown with respect for the environment and everyone involved.

Organic for over 50 years, our leaves are harvested at maturity every two years, to reach exceptional quality and balance.

Fair-trade: our values drive us every day to build a viable model. Beyond providing good working and living conditions for everyone in the production chain, concrete actions are taken daily to support the region's development.

What does the Organic Green Mate in tea bags taste like?

Soft and green, with very little bitterness: it is the most approachable of our Grand Cru mates, and the one we recommend for discovering yerba.

How do I brew this mate in a tea bag?

Drop a tea bag into a mug, pour water at 80 °C, never boiling, and leave it to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. No equipment needed: no gourd, no bombilla. See our guide to mate in tea bags, step by step.

Yes, 100 % of the ingredients come from organic farming — the yerba mate and every other ingredient in the blend. Our mate is certified organic by ECOCERT.

What are the tea bags made of?

How many tea bags are in the box?

It holds 15 individual tea bags, so 15 cups. Each one brews on its own, with nothing to measure and nothing else to buy.

Can I use the tea bag again for a second cup?

Je précise tout d’abord que les sachets sont très bien soudés et que lorsque je sers un maté, je n’ai aucun dépôt au fond du verre.La petite boîte contient 15 sachets séparés individuellement.Le maté est vite préparé, juste un peu d’eau chauffée à 80° et il faut laisser infuser entre 3 et 5 minutes selon que l’on aime boire ce maté plus ou moins intense.Ici, un seul ingrédient : du maté vert bio.C’est une boisson que l’on peut boire chaude ou froide ; je lui ai trouvé un goût assez neutre de maté vert tout simplement. Ce n’est pas fort du tout et ça se laisse boire, et c’est détox.
