Our Organic Grand Cru Roasted Mate has undergone a low temperature roasting process to give it a very aromatic flavor that is very different from traditional mates.

This roasted mate can be enjoyed at the end of a meal, where it is a wonderful replacement for the usual black coffee.

Intense, chocolatey and powerful, this mate will express all its flavors infused at a temperature between 80-85°C for 3 to 5 minutes.

A GRAND CRU TERROIR

Grown using agroforestry, a method that lets the plant draw its nutrients from the rich, diverse biodiversity of southern Brazil.

From the terroir of São Mateus do Sul, in southern Paraná, this mate is a grand cru thanks to its terroir and the denser shade provided by the imposing Araucaria trees. Harvesting methods and the care given to the plant are also decisive factors in achieving a grand cru mate!.

As the leaves grow more slowly, the flavors of the yerba mate concentrate further, acquiring a richer, fruitier, more complex taste.

On top of being a grand cru, our mate is grown with respect for the environment and everyone involved.

Organic for over 50 years, our leaves are harvested at maturity every two years, to reach exceptional quality and balance.

What does the Organic Roasted Mate in tea bags taste like?
Toasted, indulgent notes, obtained through low-temperature roasting. This is the profile closest to coffee, and often the one that wins coffee drinkers over.
How do I brew this mate in a tea bag?
Drop a tea bag into a mug, pour water at 80 to 85 °C, never boiling, and leave it to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. No equipment needed: no gourd, no bombilla. See our guide to mate in tea bags, step by step.
Is this mate certified organic?
Yes, 100 % of the ingredients come from organic farming — the yerba mate and every other ingredient in the blend. Our mate is certified organic by ECOCERT.
What are the tea bags made of?

How many tea bags are in the box?
It holds 15 individual tea bags, so 15 cups. Each one brews on its own, with nothing to measure and nothing else to buy.
Can I use the tea bag again for a second cup?

J'ai decouvert le mate il y a 1 an et j'ai abandonne le cafe. Le mate me donne beaucoup d'energie mais c'est de l'energie calme, concentree, une impression de controle tres agreable. Et je dors mieux. Apres avoir essaye plusieurs mates (agreables au gout pour la plupart), j'ai decouvert ce mate torrefie et je suis conquise. J'adore ce gout. Je crois bien que j'ai trouve mon mate prefere.
