The handmade Calebasse Torpedo in Alpaca is made from the finest, most durable gourds. The dyed leather covering the gourd is ideal for keeping water at temperature and protecting against burns and impacts.
The perfectly crafted alpaca banding isolates the gourd to waterproof and protect it from moisture.

Why mate?
Mate is a traditional South American beverage, prepared from the leaves of the yerba mate tree.
It is rich in antioxidants , vitamins and minerals , and has stimulating properties similar to those of coffee and tea. It can help improve concentration , energy and digestion .
How to prepare and consume maté?
Mate is traditionally prepared in a gourd and consumed with a bombilla , a metal filter straw.
The gourd is filled with about 2/3 yerba mate, hot water (not boiling, about 70-80°C) is added and it is sipped through the bombilla.
When to drink maté?
Mate can be consumed at any time of day, depending on individual preferences and needs.
Because it contains caffeine, it is often enjoyed in the morning or early afternoon for a boost of energy and concentration.
What does maté taste like?
We carefully select our different yerba mate for their exceptional flavors: sweet and complex , very close to the flavor of a green tea .
