Our mate accessories (gourds, bombillas, thermoses and mate gift sets)

An equally essential tool for drinking traditional mate, the mate bombilla (or mate straw) is a straw-filter used to drink the yerba mate infusion straight from the mate gourd.

Our bombillas are handmade by our artisan, on the border between Argentina and Uruguay.

Several types are available, in different sizes and alloys:

- Alpaca, in regular and large sizes

- Stainless steel

- Silver-plated Alpaca

- Engraved Alpaca

Which bombilla to choose?

Choosing your mate bombilla can be more or less complex. The larger your gourd, the wider the bombilla you'll need.

Alpaca is the most commonly used alloy - stronger than steel, yet just as rust-proof.
