Refreshing, energizing, sweet and detoxifying, this mate will express all its flavors infused at a temperature of 80-85°C for 3 to 5 minutes.

We made the decision to use exclusively mate tea bags made from plant-based materials.

Both ecological and innovative, these bags are made from corn starch, a resistant, durable material with the added advantage of diffusing the aromas perfectly.

With no plastic, paper or staples, you can now drink mate in plastic-free tea bags.

What's more, they are made and packed in France!

A GRAND CRU TERROIR

Grown using agroforestry, a method that lets the plant draw its nutrients from the rich, diverse biodiversity of southern Brazil.

From the terroir of São Mateus do Sul, in southern Paraná, this mate is a grand cru thanks to its terroir and the denser shade provided by the imposing Araucaria trees. Harvesting methods and the care given to the plant are also decisive factors in achieving a grand cru mate!.

As the leaves grow more slowly, the flavors of the yerba mate concentrate further, acquiring a richer, fruitier, more complex taste.

RESPONSIBLE FARMING

On top of being a grand cru, our mate is grown with respect for the environment and everyone involved.

Organic for over 50 years, our leaves are harvested at maturity every two years, to reach exceptional quality and balance.

Fair-trade: our values drive us every day to build a viable model. Beyond providing good working and living conditions for everyone in the production chain, concrete actions are taken daily to support the region's development.

What does the Organic Lemon Mate taste like?

A green mate lifted with lemon and orange peel, marigold flowers and a touch of vanilla: bright and fruity, with no sharp acidity.

How long should this blend steep?

10 minutes — longer than a plain mate, and for good reason: this blend contains whole freeze-dried organic fruit. The pieces have to rehydrate before they release their aromas. Cut the infusion short and the cup never reaches its potential. Water at 80–85 °C, never boiling.

Is this mate certified organic?

Yes, 100 % of the ingredients come from organic farming — the yerba mate and every other ingredient in the blend. Our mate is certified organic by ECOCERT.

What are the tea bags made of?

Our tea bags are made from corn starch, a tough plant-based material: no plastic, no paper, no staple. They are made and packed in France. Why that choice? Our article on what ordinary tea bags are hiding explains it in full.

How many tea bags are in the box?

It holds 15 individual tea bags, so 15 cups. Each one brews on its own, with nothing to measure and nothing else to buy.

Maté de qualité malheureusement j'ai reçu mon colis dans un carton trempé et les sachets imprégnés d'humidité et le service client peu compréhensif, sans même une réponse à une question simple...dommage.

Nous sommes bien entendu désolés d’apprendre que votre colis soit arrivé en mauvais état. Lorsque de l’humidité est constatée, celle-ci est malheureusement liée aux conditions de transport, indépendantes de notre préparation et de nos contrôles avant expédition. À ce stade, l’humidité évoquée n’apparaît toutefois pas perceptible sur les photos que nous avons reçues.

Cela dit, nous travaillons actuellement à la résolution de la situation avec vous et restons disponibles pour trouver une solution adaptée. Nous regrettons sincèrement si nos échanges ont pu donner l’impression d’un manque de compréhension : ce n’est absolument pas l’expérience que nous souhaitons offrir.
